Samia Al Atrash

Samia Al Atrash was born in Gaza, Graduated with an honors degree in Journalism in the University of Gaza and now has survived an ongoing genocide in her home country. She is now using her writing skills to portray the Gencoide from cairo and help with healing her grief after losing many many family members in 2023. She is a symbol of strength, resilence and courage for the entire world.

With the accumulation of experience over the years, Israeli military leaders have long understood that the easiest task for the Israeli army is to unleash torrents of fire on the city of Gaza, completely destroying it and reducing it to rubble before occupying it on the ground. However, this year, the U.S. paved the way for Israel, supplying it with all the explosives and weapons to destroy Gaza from the sky, dividing it into small fragments, and then enabling an easy ground incursion. This was not through Israel’s strength but through the strength of the entire world. The whole world gave it the green light to practice the games of killing and extermination against innocent Muslims in Gaza.

I never dreamed of traveling beyond the borders of my beautiful city, which I love like a close friend, and which loves me like an orphaned child. My beautiful Gaza, I tell you now from my place in sister Egypt that I miss you very much, my beloved in mourning. I have spent seven months away from you, my sweet, and they have been the hardest and most painful months of my life. I didn’t know that these days would be even harsher than the seven months I spent under the machine of death and destruction, which continues even now as I write to you, my dear.
